The website www.bdoaruba.com and all other website that are the proprietary of BDO are intended to provide information to clients, prospects and potential employees about our professional services and solutions.

BDO Aruba (“BDO”) gathers information from users of this web site automatically and when you decide to provide us with information, for example, when you complete a form on www.bdoaruba.com. This information is treated with confidence and is only used by BDO.

This is the privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") for the BDO Web Site (this "Site"), as well as in relation to the State Ordinance on the Prevention and Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT State Ordinance). This Site is made available by BDO ("BDO" or "we" or "us").

This Privacy Policy sets forth our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of certain personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") relating to an individual's use of this Site and the AML/CFT State Ordinance. Your use of this Site and the provision of documents under the AML/CFT State Ordinance signifies your understanding and acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and part of, the BDO Web Site Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of this Site in general, and shall be read as if the Terms and Conditions and Privacy are one unified document.

For the avoidance of doubt, this Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information collected through this Site and the AML/CFT State Ordinance, but not to BDO’s offline business activities.

 

2. UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE GATHER YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

 

2.1 Personal Information

When you send us an e-mail request or inquiry through the "Contact Us" section of this Site, we obtain your name, postal address, phone number, e-mail address and other information relating to your inquiry/request. We also obtain Personal Information as part of our recruitment processes, as well as our compliance with the AML/CFT State Ordinance. Such Personal Information is only kept for the period required for fulfilling your request or for the period required based on the AML/CFT State Ordinance and other policies applicable to BDO.

We also may collect additional Personal Information from you from time to time through other forms on this Site or based on the AML/CFT State Ordinance, through e-mail correspondence, and through other online means. The information required will be the minimum to enable BDO to deal with your request or comply with the AML/CFT State Ordinance. Where additional information is requested this will be marked and its provision is voluntary. Additional information is only requested to enable us to provide the most appropriate response to your request or to comply with the provisions in the AML/CFT State Ordinance.

Sensitive information is not sought through this Site nor based on the AML/CFT State Ordinance. Sensitive information includes data relating to: race or ethnic origin; political opinions; religious or other similar beliefs; physical or mental health; sexual orientation; or criminal record (applicable only to the Site).

3.3 Do We Share Your Personal Information?

5.2 Domicile Requirement for Use of the Site
